We understand that selling your property can be a rollercoaster and there are many hurdles to jump over between thinking about moving and actually moving upon completion. We also understand that yes, having the Energy Performance Certificate completed can be another one of these hurdles. This is why we do all we can to ensure the process is as straightforward and smooth as possible.
When it comes to selling a property there is no minimum rating that needs to be met. Therefore your rating shouldn't effect the sale of your property.
Your EPC should be completed and online by the time your property is marketed, but we understand sometimes this isn’t quite done in time. We can often book appointments for the next day, or even several months down the line or. We will do all we can to help.
When you contact us we’ll quote a competitive price and offer some appointment slots, to try and work around you. Of course the appointment might be with yourself, however if we need to arrange access via your agent or perhaps your tenant, this is no problem and there are no extra costs.
You can pay online for your EPC via invoice, or you can pay by cash or cheque at the appointment.
The assessment itself normally takes between 20 and 30 minutes, part of this is done externally and the certificate is typed up elsewhere, meaning we take up as little of your time as possible. Your EPC will always be available the same day your appointment goes ahead.
If required, please do let us know your agents / solicitors details, we can copy them in so that they receive a copy as quickly as possible.
At this point, the EPC is complete and that’s one less thing to worry about. Of course if you did have any questions, we are always happy to help.
Remember that each EPC currently lasts 10 years, so if your plans change for any reason, you’ll be able to use your EPC in the future.
